I’ve never really been a fruit for breakfast kinda guy but as I’m training for ToughMudder again this year I thought I would be a little more conscious about my diet. I really struggle with breakfast, I love nothing more than a nice big fat juicy, covered in sauce bacon and egg sandwich, but with a small change in habits I switched to porridge and fresh fruits.
Like most foods you can easily become bored with too much of the same thing, so to avoid this I started looking about for other breakfast options. This is when I found Bulk Powders Complete Breakfast Smoothie in Blueberry & Raspberry flavour, they also have a Strawberry and Banana option.
This powdered based smoothie goes well on its own with milk or a real treat is to mix it with some more ultra-fine Scottish oats, also available from Bulk Powders, add some hot water and mix it well. The result is a super fruity tasty porridge.
To really round this off I added some green and red grapes, some fresh Strawberries and one chopped Kiwi, what you end up with is a tasty, brightly coloured breakfast, full of energy and nutrition I find this help to keep me going until lunch time.
